MFDA State and Federal Legislative Representation provides an extremely important service, with the numerous legislative issues affecting your bottom line.
MFDA Comp Watch program insures that MEMBERS meet the requirements of Montana’s Safety Culture Act, which requires employers of five or more employees to have documented safety programs. The MFDA Worker’s Compensation program has returned Work Comp dividends of near $3,350,000.00 to our members over the years in addition to assisting in obtaining rate reductions. The Safety program is essential to the success of our workers comp program and the financial health of the individual members taking advantages of its services.

MFDA workers compensation insurance coverage gives statutory coverage required by Montana law at group rates for members in good standing. The program provides a dual dividend as well as an up front group aggregate rate savings in addition to a three percent return on deposits held not used for premiums.

MFDA Group Health Plan offers new and expanded Health Maintenance Organization Coverage or traditional benefits at group rates with stability of stop loss structure and retro retention of excess premium. A Self-Funded option is available for members with 50 or more employee’s providing reporting and compliance under the new rules and law. Increases have averaged in the single digits for the past ten years even though medical costs have increased at double-digit rates.
